?

Do you love to be outdoors in all weathers or sitting in the warmth of the sun listening to the soothing sound of the breeze as it ripples through the leaves ?

Do you care about providing a safe haven for wildlife that supports and nurtures existing natural habitat?

Would you love to spend time somewhere you can chat around the fire with a brew or get involved in creating and shaping a forrest garden that considers the needs of both the land and the people who visit and spend time there ?

Providing a beautiful outdoor , urban wild place that offers a peer support group and regular community action and gardening projects to get involved with Space for Nature is close to public transport networks and within walking distance of Ramsbottom town center.

Once a small holding it has been mostly neglected and left to its own devices for the best part of 20 years . During this time a natural ecology of wild flowers , plants and trees has been formed within a small woodland glade creating a beautifully bio-diverse habitat that provides the perfect space to engage the community in outdoor nature based events and activity.

Space for Nature aims to

Encourage socialising and improve wellbeing and mental health through green listening spaces .

Provide an informal and friendly space to explore and learn about wildlife , plants and their uses for food and foraging.

Encourage engagement with nature through creative activities ,gardening projects and nature based art workshops.
